Thankful for everyday

This last week I had a couple of days when I guess I felt sorry for myself. I would say that alot of the time we're fine we feel our lives are normal , but sometimes it feels like this is too much to take. About a week before we brought Karson home from the hosp this last time I saw some people that I knew from years ago. As I talked to them they told me that their baby was a couple days old and born with a heart defect that would eventually take his life as a teenager. I felt bad for them because I knew somewhat of how they felt. I remember thinking that they were lucky to have the oppourtunity to see their son grow to be a teenager. Well last night I saw their baby's obituary in the paper he only made it six weeks. My heart broke for them and I realized how blessed we are to still have Karson here after 6 months its a miracle. I'm so thankful for everyday that I've had with Hadley & Karson and having the oppourtunity to be their mommy.

The Kids

Karson has been home for over 3 weeks now . Since he has been diagnosed he hasn't been home for an entire month so were keeping our fingers crossed. We feel so blessed to have him here, We actually took him to Dr.Swoboda today for his muscle tests and bone density scan. During his test she turned to us and said that his motor neurons had increased . Her words were "this is a miracle this has never happened before". Darren and I new exactly why we know it's because of all the prayers. Heavenly Father is truly blessing us, there were so many times that Karson could of passed away. I'm sooo thankful that I still am able to hold my baby. If I could say one thing, it would be to never take one minute for granite that you have with your family. Through all of this Hadley has been such a strength to us, there have been several times that I've been crying and she sits down by me and says "mom don't cry your baby is going to be ok" . She is such a special little girl.
Karson on his six month Birthday it's a big accomplishment that he has made it this far. He has suprised many people so we gave him a little party.

Hadley loves to dress up in princess dresses. This was a gift from some wonderful people, Aubrey, Hank, and her parents.

This is a picture of Karson and Hadley the last time he was in the hosp.

We are so amazed at how good he's doing. He's our little miracle boy

Hadley and Karson have such a cute relationship. Even though he is so little and unable to move she plays and laughs with him. She calls him her baby and I'm so happy to see that they have a special bond.
