On Friday, Karson will be 8 months old and I can't say this enough: It is truly a miracle! We try to do something little for him every "birthday month", because you just never know. He continues to amaze us. He's been home for almost 3 months, the longest ever in his life. He goes through a lot everyday with his cough assist (a machine that simulates a cough by blowing positive pressure then sucks out negative pressure) twice a day when he's well, then we suction him usually every 5 to 10 minutes sometimes every 2 minutes and that means sticking a tube down his nose to the back of his throat. He has taught Darren and I that there is more more to "strength" that just the physical body. He's is an amazing example of patience and "real" strength. We feel so blessed to be able to still have him here with us. He loves Hadley so much! Sometimes he won't talk for me but when he see's his sister his eyes light up and starts talking and smiling immediatly. He thinks she's so funny and he tries with all of his strength to muster up a laugh. Their relationship is priceless.
